Step 1: Apply to the company.
If you’re interested in applying to Pop Cement, email your resume to hr@popcement.com. Be sure to highlight relevant skills and experiences! We value creativity, innovation, and good writing skills—those are the kind of things that will get you noticed.
Step 2: Take a skills test.
The next step for those who pass the resume screening is to take a skills test. This test is designed to show us how you think, your technical skill level, and how you work in a team. Each of these four questions will be reviewed by one of our amazing engineers and scored based on some simple criteria. Although all questions are equally weighted, we’ll be looking for different things depending on the question:
- Technical skill + problem solving ability (Question 1)
- Communication skills (Question 2)
- Teamwork + leadership (Question 3)
- Adaptability + problem solving ability (Question 4)
Step 3: Interview with the CEO.
The final step in our hiring process is an interview with me. I want to see whether or not you can handle the client-facing nature of this job. Are you a good communicator? Can you get along with the rest of the team? Do I feel like you’re going to be able to contribute to Pop Cement and help us become a better company? Do I trust that you’re going to do a good job for Pop Cement and make sure our software implementation is as successful as possible?
I’m looking forward to reviewing your applications. Good luck!
Step 4: Meet the team.
In Step 4, applicants get to meet their future coworkers and learn more about our culture. This part of the hiring process is great, because we can ask our candidates questions that are less asked during interviews. We like to have 15 minute 1:1 interviews with each applicant so they can ask us anything!
We always cover pop cement’s mission and values as well as go through a few behavioral questions. The behavioral questions are simply there to help us gain a better understanding of who you may be as an individual based on your past experiences and how you handled yourself in those situations. We also want to know what your hobbies are outside of the workplace and what you enjoy doing in your personal time. Although we do love learning about your professional experience don’t forget that pop cement is hiring for individuals not just their resume!
Step 5: Get hired.

So, what do we look for in a Pop Cement Ninja?
- You love to learn. Not only about your own role, but about how different teams work together. You’re curious and ask questions—a lot of them. This also means you’re always reading, whether that’s articles or a good ol’ book.
- You like to write and communicate clearly. Your email is concise, clear, and friendly (because we have no patience for the passive voice). And when you speak with someone on the phone, they feel like they’re talking to their best friend (even if it’s their first time speaking).
- You’re proactive and self-motivated. If something isn’t working properly or you see an opportunity to improve something, you don’t wait around until someone else figures it out – you take action! There’s no task too big or small for you; if it needs doing then it gets done!
- You’re organized AF and thrive on structure. We don’t mind if systems make your heart go pitter patter ✨💕✨ because at the end of the day, systems mean better communication with your teammates 🤗🤗🤗
At pop cement, we’re always looking for the best and brightest minds to join our team. You don’t need to know anything about cement or have any prior experience in the field—we just want to meet you and see what you’re capable of! (And, frankly, it wouldn’t hurt if you were a ninja.)
So how can you become a pop cement ninja? First of all, don’t be intimidated by the word “ninja.” It’s not meant to be taken literally. But that said, if you actually are a ninja? Wow. That would be so cool. Please come work here. We need more ninjas.
But seriously, there are a few things that will help us identify you as a good fit for our company:
-Be creative when applying. We know it might sound like an oxymoron to describe yourself as “creative” on an application form—how do you prove creativity on a piece of paper?—but trust us, we get it. So instead of trying to prove your creativity with words, why not show us? Design your application in the form of an infographic or PowerPoint presentation. Make a video about yourself! You’ll get bonus points for including
We’re looking for Ninja innovators. Are you one?
You’ve probably heard of pop cement, the innovative, technology-based start-up that’s changing the way people think about [product]. But have you ever wondered about what it takes to work here?
How can you become a Ninja at pop cement? We’ll tell you:
1. Read everything on our website (that’s an order).
2. Read some more. Then read some more.
3. Apply for a job and go through the application process we have in place.
It’s true. We’re hiring!
Thinking about working with us here at pop cement? We’re so excited you’ve decided to consider joining our team. But before you apply, we’d love for you to know a little bit more about what it’s like to work with us and what we look for in a candidate.
What is pop cement?
We are a product that allows users to easily create 3D-printed models of their favorite celebrities out of a waterproof material called “pop cement.” The model can then be used as decoration or, if the user prefers, can also be used to hold up things like shelves and lamps. Who doesn’t want their own personal Beyonce model holding up their bookshelf? That’s what we thought!
How do we do it?
Using our state-of-the-art technology, we take the photo of your favorite celebrity (or photos! Or even videos!) and use our proprietary software to turn it into a 3D rendering. Our machines then use pop cement (which is kind of like concrete) to make the model itself—it’s really something to see! Then all you have to do is let it dry and you’re good to go.
Who do we hire?

You may be wondering, how do I even get started? What does it take to become a Ninja? If you’ve ever asked yourself these questions, this blog is for you.
First, let’s start with an introduction.
When it comes to Ninjas, there are two kinds: those who are born with their skills and those who train diligently to acquire them. Both types can be equally deadly and successful in their own right—but at pop cement, we prefer the latter. We like to see Ninjas who have honed their skills over time and acquired their weapons through hard-earned experience.
So what kind of training qualifies as “hard-earned experience”? Let’s take a look at some examples of what our HR department looks for when they consider applicants:
How did you get that black belt? Did it come from your Sensei or did you earn it through trials in the forest? We want to know!
Can you tie your shoelaces blindfolded? Because that would be really handy if you were sneaking up on an enemy in the dark.
Are you proficient in
