This is a quick tutorial on how to make beautiful outlines using only cinder blocks and cement board. It’s a “how-to” style article that talks about making beautiful wall outlines.
It’s basically a tutorial in a “how to”, but in an informative way about making beautiful wall outlines.
I’m going to show you how to make beautiful walls with 3D Walls without the Mess: a tutorial in a “how to”, but in an informative way about making beautiful wall outlines.
Here are my 3 tips for 3D Walls without the Mess:
1) Use Cementboard as your base. Cementboard is great because it’s very hard, durable and easy to cut. I use it all the time in my business and it’s never let me down. If you don’t have access to cementboard, there are other options like plywood or drywall, but they’re not as good.
2) Use a sawzall (or other reciprocating saw) to cut your pieces of cementboard. Don’t try using a regular saw because they don’t make nice clean cuts like the ones you can get with reciprocating saws. You will be able to cut through cinder blocks and concrete blocks easily if you use this method
3 Quick Tips for 3D Walls without the Mess
1. Use Cement Board: Using cement board (hardi-back) makes it a lot easier to create walls that are straight, level and will not crack or split like drywall. I don’t recommend using drywall if you can avoid it, as it is much more prone to cracking due to it’s flexibility. If you must use drywall, make sure you use 2 layers of 5/8″ thick drywall to increase it’s strength.
2. Use Construction Adhesive: Using construction adhesive (Liquid Nails) on your backboard will help hold it in place while you are working with the mortar, and give added strength once the mortar has dried.
3. Use a Mortar Bonder: Using a mortar bonder will prevent the mortar from flaking off over time from expansion and contraction of the underlying surface.
Using these 3 tips will help ensure your project lasts for years to come!
I’ve always wanted to make a wall, but I never thought it would be this easy to do. This tutorial is for those of you who love 3D printed walls but don’t want to deal with the mess of putting them together.
Here are three quick tips on how to make a beautiful wall outline quickly and easily:
1. Use a set square (or triangle) to draw a straight line from the top corner to the bottom corner of your wall. Use a ruler to line up the two points and use a pencil to mark the line.
2. Use a ruler to measure the distance between the two points you just marked on your wall, then measure that distance on your paper and mark it with a pencil as well.
3. Use tape or glue dots to stick the paper onto your wall, then cut out your template using an x-acto knife or scissors.
Cementboard is a thin, flat piece of cement with fiberglass mesh on both sides. It’s ideal for creating 3D wall shapes without the mess and hassle of plastering.
What makes cementboard such a great material for art projects is that it’s easy to cut with any type of saw or knife. This means you can easily build complex wall shapes; for example, if you need an unusual curve or multiple layers, you can simply make them by cutting and gluing the pieces together.
Paint a mural or give your room a new look with these quick and easy steps to installing your wallpaper.
1. Measure the width of the wall and cut a strip of cementboard that is about 2 inches longer than the width. Make sure you have enough strips to cover the entire wall, with a few inches of overlap.
2. Cut another strip of cementboard for the next section of wall, beginning at one end and working toward the other end.
3. Repeat until you have covered the entire wall, then trim off any excess material from around the edges with a utility knife or scissors.
Cement board is a thin layer of concrete with fiberglass mesh on both sides. It is usually 1/2″ to 5/8″ thick and 4 feet wide, coming in 3′ or 5′ lengths. It is used as the base for many different types of wall and floor coverings.
Cement board is also used as an underlayment for ceramic tile, natural stone and other flooring materials.
Cement board has a higher resistance to moisture penetration than gypsum boards or plywood. This makes it ideal for use in wet areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and laundry rooms. Cement board is also used as a base for countertops, shower walls and tub surrounds.
The most common type of cement board is made from Portland cement, ground silica sand, cellulose fibers and glass fibers that have been formed into sheets by a machine then cured using high temperature steam. The resulting material is extremely strong, durable and resistant to water penetration.
If you are trying to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.

I recently needed a new kitchen countertop. I had all sorts of ideas involving custom cabinets and concrete, but it turned out replacing the countertop was much simpler than I expected, so simple that I figured it might be worth writing about.
To replace a countertop you need some way to attach it to the cabinets. Usually this is accomplished with screws driven through the sides of the cabinet into support strips attached to the underside of the countertop. The problem with this approach is that if you ever want to take out your countertop you’ll be left with a bunch of holes in your cabinets that will need patching before they can be painted or stained again.
The alternative is to use cementboard as an underlayment for your countertop. Cementboard isn’t actually made of cement; rather it is made by mixing Portland cement with silica sand and water, then combining it with some kind of organic fiber (wood pulp). The resulting material is extremely hard and durable; it is used in buildings because it doesn
