Asbestos cement is a great material for building stuff. It’s fireproof, waterproof and has great insulating qualities. In fact, it’s made of about 10% asbestos mixed in with cement and was used extensively in the UK and Europe in the mid twentieth century.
There are plenty of websites that give you information on asbestos cement, but there aren’t a lot of examples of people using it to build stuff or hack it into something else. So I thought I’d start this blog to show what can be done with this amazing material. Hopefully people will use this blog as a resource when they want to do stuff with asbestos cement.
