What goes into a good siding installation? Is it the material? The people who do the job? The design of your home? Or is it something more?
In my experience, all of these elements are important. If one of them is missing then you aren’t going to be happy with your new siding. That’s why it’s so important to look at every detail before you start your siding installation project.
If you’re like most people then you probably think that you can just pick up the phone and call someone to get your siding installed. But there is a lot more to this process than meets the eye. You need to consider all of your options before you make any final decisions on who will be doing your job.
The post you are about to read is one of the best I have ever read on the subject of siding installation. If you are interested in having the best siding installation possible, you should use it.
There are many different types of siding. When it comes to selecting a siding contractor, there are many factors that go into determining how much your siding installation will cost and how long it will last. Here are some general guidelines to help you choose a siding contractor that will be able to meet your needs and give you an accurate estimate of what your siding installation will cost.
First, make sure that the company that you use for your siding installation has been in business for at least five years. There are too many companies out there that claim they can do a good job but don’t have any experience whatsoever in this type of work. In order to make sure that your home’s exterior looks great, it is important to choose a company that has been around for some time so that they can give you an accurate estimate of how much money they will charge for their services.
Next, ask them how long it takes them to complete a job like yours. A good rule of thumb is to look at their past projects and see how long it
The average cost of siding installation is just over $7,000. This does not include the cost of siding itself. If a home has 1,250 exterior square feet, the cost for a contractor to install vinyl siding will be around $7,500.
To put new siding on your home can change the entire look of your house and make it more energy efficient at the same time. There are many different types of siding options out there but you have to choose which one will be the best for you and add value to your home as well.
The average cost of installing vinyl siding on a home ranges from $6,000 to $12,000 depending on the size of the home and the quality of materials used. The average price per square foot installed is between $3 and $5 dollars per square foot installed.
The average cost for installing aluminum siding on a home ranges from $10,000 to $15,000 with an average price per square foot installed between $4 and $7 dollars per square foot installed.

Painting Cement Siding
Painting cement siding is a little more involved than painting other types of siding. You can’t just pick up a paint brush and slap it on. There are some things that need to be done first to ensure success.
If you have installed your cement siding yourself, then you already know that it comes primed, so it is ready for paint right out of the box. This doesn’t mean that you don’t need to do any prep work, however. You will have to wash the siding with a good cleanser and rinse it thoroughly with water. The benefit of having the siding primed is that it allows you to put just one coat of paint on the siding instead of two coats.
Before painting the cement siding, be sure you purchase high quality paint. Cement is very porous so most paints will not stick well unless they are high quality. The color selection isn’t as important; if you aren’t happy with your choice you can always repaint later on.
To start painting your siding, use a long handled roller and roll from side-to-side rather than up-and-down. This way your strokes will blend together better
If you’re having your siding replaced and are considering painting the cement board siding, you should know that it’s not necessary. In fact, a high-quality paint job may actually cause more harm than good.
Cement board siding is manufactured with a factory applied coating of water-based acrylic paint that is available in a variety of colors. The paint is baked onto the surface at over 400 degrees Fahrenheit. This type of paint can last for years without fading and does not need to be reapplied after installation.
The only time painting cement board siding is recommended is if the product has been damaged by the weather or if you’re trying to match an existing paint color.
It’s important to use a quality exterior latex house paint that is specially formulated for cement board siding. A good quality paint will have a warranty against fading for at least five years and also contain UV reflectors to help prevent chipping and peeling. Even with these precautions, there are no guarantees that the finish will hold up as well as one that comes from the manufacturer.
