We’re always on the lookout for great talent, so if you’re interested in joining us, send your resume to careers[at]companyname[dot]com. And if our current job openings don’t fit your skills or experience, keep checking back — we’re always posting new positions.

We currently have no job openings. We have no money. We are a small, tightly knit team and we do not plan to grow. We just raised $10 million in venture funding, so I guess technically we do have money now but that is not going to change the size of our team. The only way you can get a job here is if someone leaves. And that hasn’t happened since 2012.

If you want to work at YC and don’t want to move to California, maybe you can convince your company to apply for YC. If they’re accepted, they’ll be here for 3 months and you can commute from home for that time, or even work remotely if it makes sense for your job.

People who become great at something do it because they are curious about it. If you aren’t curious about what you’re working on, you’ll never get good at it.

When people ask me how to get into startups, I always say the same thing: find a startup you like and offer to work for free. I know that’s not what most people want to hear. They want me to tell them some secret trick for getting hired at startups. But there is no secret trick. The main problem with every other method of getting a job at a startup is that it takes so long.

How are you going to get in touch with founders? Apply for jobs? Go to events and network? The best way is just to show up and start doing things. The more time you spend trying to meet founders and apply for jobs, the less time you have to make yourself valuable enough that founders will want to hire you once they’ve met you.
