Before you can hang the picture, you need the proper hardware for cement walls. You will need:

A drill (if you don’t have one, borrow one from your neighbor).

A screwdriver bit that matches the size of your screws.

Concrete screws or plastic anchors. These are different from regular screws and are designed to hold better in solid surfaces like concrete. Concrete screws are easy to use and hold very well, but they require a special drill bit (called an SDS bit). Plastic anchors do not require any special tools and come in different sizes for different applications.

We all want to decorate our homes in a unique and stylish way. No matter if your house is modern or traditional, you can always find the perfect decorations and accessories to match with your interior design. Hanging mirrors and pictures on the wall is a great way to do so. However, concrete walls need special treatment as they cannot be attached with regular nails or screws. Therefore, it is important to know how to hang a picture on a cement wall.

The first step is making sure that your wall is made of cement. You will have to differentiate between concrete and cement walls because there is a difference between the two of them. Cement walls are usually smooth and flat, whereas concrete walls have a rough texture to them. You can easily hang things on concrete walls by using regular nails or screws with anchors. On the other hand, you have several options for hanging pictures on cement walls, depending on what type of wall you are dealing with.

If you are hanging a picture on a fiber cement wall, you should use hardened plastic anchors and screws. This kind of anchor has an anchor point in the middle which makes it easy for them to grip into the fiber cement material of the wall. If you want to hang a picture frame which does not have wire or hooks

If you are hanging a picture on a cement wall and don’t have an anchor, try using two nails.

First, hold the picture up where you would like it to hang. Then put a nail in at each end of the top of the frame. Push the nail in enough so that it stays in without falling out, but not so much that it bends.

Then pull the picture off the wall and tie a piece of string or thread around both nails. Adjust the string so that it is taut and level with the bottom of the frame.

Next, remove one nail from the frame and wrap the string around it until all of the string is wrapped around it. Push this nail back into the wall in a position that you think will be below where your string is level with at the bottom of your frame.

Pull on both sides of the string gently until you feel resistance from underneath the frame (or just pull straight down on both sides). The nail should slide through your string and come to rest below where your other piece of string was level with at the bottom of your frame.

Finally, remove your other string from its nail and replace it with a hook or another nail for hanging purposes if needed.

Easy as 1-2-3:

* Drill two pilot holes into the wall.

* Secure the picture hanger with screws.

* Attach picture to hanger.
