Blue Circle cement is available in 25kg bags, large bags and bulk with fast delivery options. It is the largest selling bagged cement brand in the UK. It provides high strength concrete for domestic use with easy workability. Its versatility means you can use it for most domestic applications including foundations, patios, driveways, paths, garden walls and chimneys. Cementing is the process of installing a well casing and/or liner.

Cements are usually mixtures of Portland cement and additives (such as fly ash, slag, pozzolans).

A cement job requires that the casing and the annulus be sealed off; this is accomplished by pumping cement into the annular space between the casing and the borehole.

Blue Circle Cement is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of cement in the UK. Blue Circle’s aim is to help you reduce your carbon footprint. We produce a diverse range of cements for general purpose use, for ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) and for fly ash.

Blue Circle Cement are continually looking at ways to improve our products, services, environmental performance and customer satisfaction.

The most important thing you need to do is make sure that your form is level. You can use string lines or just a long straight board as a level reference. Don’t forget to check the line at different distances from the form, especially in the middle. Also, remember that cement expands when it dries, so leave less than an inch between the top of the form and your finished surface.

If you are going to be using a hand tamper, make sure the ground is damp. This will help compact the dirt better than if it was dry. If you don’t have access to water, use some concrete mix to wet down the area before tamping.

It’s best to pour into forms rather than directly onto the ground for several reasons: It looks neater; it provides a guide for how thick or thin to make it; and it’s easier to keep clean.

Cementing is the most important operation in a well construction. The success of this operation determines the life of the well.

Cementing operations are primarly aimed at ensuring zonal isolation. To achieve this goal, a cement sheath has to be designed and placed such that it isolates the different formations encountered in the wellbore.

The term “zonal isolation” defines the ability of a cement sheath to isolate fluids in a formation from those in another formation or in the wellbore itself. This term is used for both production and injection wells.
