• Use wood glue to attach each tile to the concrete using a rubber mallet to hammer them down flat against the floor surface and ensure that they are fully bonded together with no gaps between pieces or bubbles in between where they meet (TIP: feel free to use a scrap piece of wood or other material that doesn’t stick easily when removing excess glue around edges).

• Make sure you have enough bricks or stones to go around twice, so one layer can hold up the second layer on top of it. For example, if your firepit will be six feet wide, you need about 18 feet of single-layer stone work for each layer of the pit (which totals 36 feet for both layers).
• Place the first layer of blocks around this area, leaving roughly a foot between them so there is plenty of room to see through and place wood inside later on. If you can find blocks with holes in them, great! You’ll just want to make sure they are offset from each other when you place them down so that there aren’t any places where they line up perfectly and block airflow into the pit (this could cause smoke inside!). Feel free to use some paving sand underneath so that it’s leveled out nicely! Then use mortar mix between each stone as well as along their edges–make sure it fills in most gaps but don’t overfill because then it won’t hold water when rain comes down through those openings later on.*Optional: Add some decorative rocks or glass pieces throughout this first layer before placing another set directly above these ones*. This creates more depth from side angles which makes people feel like they’re looking at something three dimensional rather than just two flat walls coming together.
