You’re here because you are looking for a way to stain your concrete, and you want to do it the easy way. I’ve got good news for you! There is an easy way! In fact, there are two great ways to make the process go a lot smoother.

The first thing is to get yourself a pump sprayer. You can find one at your local hardware or home improvement store. The reason why this is so important is that you can control the spray so much better than just pouring it on by hand.

You want to wear some rubber gloves and make sure that the area that you’re going to be spraying is well covered with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. You’ll be glad you did later when it’s time to clean up.

You want to spray down the entire surface of the concrete with a thin layer of acid stain. This will help you get even coverage, and because of the chemistry involved in acid staining, this will help avoid hot spots in your final color.

Now, instead of just dumping out your stain on the floor and spreading it around with a broom or squeegee, you’re going to pour about half a gallon into your pump sprayer and then start spraying it around on the floor in an even pattern

I show you two different ways that will save you a lot of time and hassle when applying an acid stain to your floor. The first way is to use a plastic spray bottle to apply the acid stain. This method allows you to spray the stain on evenly, and in much larger areas, than if you were trying to apply the stain with just a rag. The other way that I show you is how to apply the acid stain by using a paint roller. This method will allow you to cover large surfaces very quickly!
